General Statement of Responsibilities: The Crisis Advocates report directly to the Director of Emergency Services. This hourly position exists to ensure appropriate, consistent program supervision and will work as part of a team to deliver 24-hour emergency shelter and hotline services.
Desire to work with persons affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and homelessness in a judgment-free, culturally sensitive, time flexible manner that is adaptive to their needs in a constantly changing environment.
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, cloud computing, and web-based applications.
Excellent time management, Active Listening and crisis management/intervention skills.
Ability to move or lift 25 pounds.
Ability to move throughout the shelter and climb stairs.
Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
